I just met you, and this is crazy, but do you want to go traveling? Not to the park, like that silly meme, but real traveling? To South Africa maybe. We can hike along the cliffs over to the sea. Or maybe to Italy. It’s a pretty romantic place, and they have great food and wine.
You see, dinner and a movie isn’t going to cut it. I know, you want to check out that craft beer bar that just opened, and maybe we can go grab a drink there while we talk about our travel plans. But I heard about this awesome little beer bar in Berlin. We could go there, plus Germany at this time of year is really nice. We could also hop over to Switzerland and do some hiking in the Alps. Summer in Luzern is stunnnnnnning.
And while we’re on the subject of food and drink, I love that you can cook – it’s a huge turn on – but what can you make when we’re camping in New Zealand and can’t use a fire? Or when we’re on our last day in Patagonia and want to use up our food? I love ramen noodles as much as the next person, but not every day!
How are you with small spaces? Should we buy a little sailboat and live in a marina? Or how do you feel about living in a hostel for a few weeks while we learn Italian in Florence? I’ve always wanted to do that.
Did you see that cute dog over there? He’d be a great addition to our little sailboat family. I’ve always wanted a dog on a boat. And since you just pointed out the little kid tugging on his tail…. how do you feel about kids? I mean, I know we’re not even really dating but… damn that one is cute, his blond hair flying in the wind. And he’s loving these pigeons in Venice! Remember the one we saw – oh, no that wasn’t you.
I just met you, and this is crazy, but traveling is the best way to get to know someone. What’s your next vacation time? We could road trip to Yosemite. Head to the beaches of Baja. Do you snorkel? Want to go skydiving?
Do you want to try to make wine? or beer? I don’t know how to do it but I bet we could learn. Maybe take a class together. Ooooh what about a week-long cooking class in France? Or maybe a Highland whisky trail tour? Have you ever been to Orkney? I’ve always wanted to hopscotch from there to the Shetlands and then to the Faroe Islands on a fishing boat. So remote. Just beautiful really. No cities, but that’s cool right? Weekends in New York are always fun, but sometimes overwhelming. We could swing through London on our way south. Maybe spend the winter in South America? I’ve got friends in Peru.
I just met you, and this is crazy, but we’d make super cute babies. Let’s travel the world making memories.
